Aldwinians Launch Spectators’ Player of the Year Award

Aldwinians RUFC are proud to introduce a brand new accolade for the 2025/26 season — the Spectators’ Player of the Year Award, proudly sponsored by DJ Dave Taylor.

Giving Fans a Voice

From the touchline at Audenshaw Park to those following from afar, our supporters are at the heart of everything we do. This award is designed to recognise that support — giving spectators the chance to reward the players who have stood out across the season.

Whether it’s a standout performance, consistent impact, or simply embodying what Aldwinians is all about, this award is decided by you.

Senior Section Only

The Spectators’ Player of the Year is open to all senior players at the club. From the 1st XV through to the Vets, every player has the opportunity to earn the backing of the crowd.

How It Works

Throughout the season, supporters will be invited to vote for their standout player, with all votes contributing towards the final result.

🗓️ Voting closes on 30th May, with the winner announced following the conclusion of the season.

Keep an eye on our social channels and website for voting updates.

Voting Rules

To keep things fair and true to the spirit of the award, a few simple rules apply:

  • 🗳️ One vote per person

  • Voters must be a club member

  • 🚫 Voters must not have played more than 2 senior games this season (this is a spectators’ award, after all!)

These guidelines ensure the award remains driven by genuine supporters on the touchline.

Proudly Supported by DJ Dave Taylor

This award is made possible thanks to the support of DJ Dave Taylor, whose backing helps us continue to recognise and celebrate the people who make our club special.

Get Involved

We encourage all members and supporters to get involved. When voting opens, make sure your voice is heard before the deadline.

Because at Aldwinians, it’s not just about what happens on the pitch — it’s about the people who are there every week to support it.
