Our urgent first priority is replacing a failing section of the clubhouse roof. Once the roof is fixed, the rest of the appeal goes towards a new gym, changing rooms and a new players’ entrance at Audenshaw Park.

Replace the failing clubhouse roof

The roof has become an urgent matter, so it comes first. Everything else in 90 for 90 depends on a watertight clubhouse.

A roof over our community

A flat roof area between the clubhouse’s pitched and flat roof sections is failing. Years of exposure to the elements have left it open to water getting in, threatening the clubhouse used by hundreds of members, supporters, school groups, community organisations and visiting teams every year.

Without urgent work the damage will keep spreading, pushing up the repair bill and putting vital community spaces at risk. It’s not the most glamorous project, but it’s one of the most important investments we can make in the club’s future — and donations go further with Aviva’s matched funding.

This isn't our first campaign

President's Fund: fixing our clubhouse roof

Our last crowdfunding campaign, the Aldwinians Rugby Club President’s Fund, set out to raise £20,000 to fix the clubhouse roof and help ensure the club’s long-term future. Thanks to our club community, it raised even more. Now a different part of the roof — the flat section between the pitched and flat roofs — needs replacing.
